In this episode, we welcome Jordan Mears, a filmmaker from central Arkansas, who is about to release his latest film—NEW WEST. A culmination of several years of efforts, the Russellville-native has been making the film during his free time while working in commercial production at his day job. "New West" is a zany crime film that draws inspiration from South Park, Quinton Tarantino and even Bojack Horseman. The logline reads: "From outlaws to superstars, Trigger and Gene were the best of friends. But years after a falling out, the two must team up once again to fight a villain from their past." ACS will premiere "New West" for our Arkansas Filmmakers Spotlight Series on Thurs., Aug. 25, 2022, at CALS Ron Robinson Theater in Little Rock. The film will be followed by a Q+A with Jordan and his team.
